Templeton Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Hello everyone, I'm looking for a rod and reel combo that will help me feel the slightest bite from a bass on any soft plastic rig. My price range is 50-150 dollars. Any suggestion? Quote

jsc4324 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 ^ x2. Going to be hard to beat that combo in that price range. Quote
mjseverson24 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 for a 150.00 combo I would get a 7' M/F abu garcia verdict (for $60.00 from FFO) and a quantum kinetic (<70 on auction sites) or a skeet reese reel for <60 on many places I would go with the 7:1 ratio. Mitch Quote
deadadrift89 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 X3 on that combo.I'd choose the 7.1:1 reel ratio. I've got a 6'9" MH xfast Carbonlite i use for my soft plastics in the 1/2.oz range and it works very well. Its my second favorite rod for plastics i own. I would also highly recommend Seaguar InvizX line on whatever combo you go with. Quote

SenkoGuru Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Did you mean combo as in buying both rod and reel together or did you just mean a nice combo? For the $150.00 range I would buy a Denali Jadewood rod ($100.00) and an Academy H2o Reel. ($49.98) with a metal frame. If you meant a combo together the other guys nailed it. Quote
