coryn h. fishowl Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 ALRIGHT!!!! The show is back on, the season premier burned into our memories alongside such important information as the details as your personal best, which test lines you have on all your rods and your anniversary...(I wanna say, febuar-jan,cember,arch thirty-secondy five?) Nonetheless, we should resign such information to replay in our heads, so lets talk. This is the forum for everything, zombie, everything ghoulish, and everything "The Walking Dead," 2014! Quote
5dollarsplash Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Not sure if the zombies or my gf will get Carl first! Lol she hates the kid at this point. It'll be interesting to see if the angry young man is somewhat reformed after nearly losing his las link to life before zombies. Quote
coryn h. fishowl Posted February 11, 2014 Author Posted February 11, 2014 I actually kinda like the character development on his part. He is no longer the same wimpy, little child who got Dale killed. He has hardened and is actually become pretty proficient at zombie slaying. His snarky comments about shane are annoying though. Still, you gotta love last season's father-son zombie shootout extravaganza. Quote

coryn h. fishowl Posted February 11, 2014 Author Posted February 11, 2014 It's times like this that I really hate the Everything Else forum. Haha, why, because of the zombie craze...because we live in a day in age when half of the shotguns you'll find at the SHOT show are designed to be "tactical" zombie killers and its common for your fishing knife to have a tanto point for zombie killing. One must wonder how we got here. Quote
Ima Bass Ninja Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 It's times like this that I really hate the Everything Else forum. The best post in the history of ever...it should be pinned, stickyed and written on a chalk board 100x by all who understand or have/will contribute to this thread. 2 Quote
Super User Sam Posted February 12, 2014 Super User Posted February 12, 2014 And I thought this thread was about politicians. Quote
5dollarsplash Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 I think it'd be locked already if it was Sam. Actually getting the word politician in the thread might lock it up by itself lol. Quote
coryn h. fishowl Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 We had a thriving zombie forum a couple of months ago that didn't get shut down. Quote
Super User tomustang Posted February 13, 2014 Super User Posted February 13, 2014 I hope part 2 of the season picks up a lot better Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted February 13, 2014 Super User Posted February 13, 2014 The Michone dream sequence was worth the price of admission. Quote
coryn h. fishowl Posted February 13, 2014 Author Posted February 13, 2014 The Michone dream sequence was worth the price of admission. At first I thought it was a commercial...then things got weird(er) Quote
coryn h. fishowl Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 YES!!! Glenn is alive and apparently the new, militaristic dude is a major comic character, and Carol is back. One has to wonder if Tyresse will find out about her Quote
Cgrinder Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Has the show gotten better since seasons one and two? Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted February 18, 2014 Super User Posted February 18, 2014 So far a very slow start in my opinion. Hoping it spices up soon. Quote

Super User Grizzn N Bassin Posted February 19, 2014 Super User Posted February 19, 2014 i havent watched the new seaon yet. so im not reading this but deff keep this thread going !! Quote
coryn h. fishowl Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 Well, in one and two, there was no truly safe, haven. Their survival never felt certain and the characters were weak. Now they are hardened, but once again on the move, searching desperately for a home, and with a new character in the mix, and the strain of being seperated is causing many to break, the facade that they are blase and untouchable wearing thin. I'd say this season might be even better. They are scattered to the wind, and will form new bonds, (e.g. Daryl hooking up with the blond girl....Hershel's kid) and probably will have some near misses...almost coming into contact but not bumping into each other a few times. They are gonna toy with us for a while I'm sure Quote
msk Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I for one am ready to see Rick toughen up again. Now that we know Judith is alive he should have the resolve he needs. Quote

Agreed, half of me didn't want him to get up in the first episode, he's fallen so far from what he was. I'm hoping the focus the scope a little bit on key characters. Theres quite a few I could care less whether they make it or not. Heck, little pycho girl can go anytime. Quote

Yeah, I'm sure rick will have some rival to go against (this season's governor) and the moment will come where he must either fall of harden...I'm sure he will come back...but for now, Carl is the tough one, and it would seem they are trying to play up his growth Quote
coryn h. fishowl Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Well, the last epidsode was a bit slow, but they finally addressed something that has bothered me for some time...Daryl's carbon bolts would break eventually...now if only we could get them to make that modern-day crossbow more realistic and actually send arrows though walkers 1 Quote
Super User tomustang Posted March 6, 2014 Super User Posted March 6, 2014 Last episode was one of the better episodes out of the whole series. Quote
coryn h. fishowl Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Last episode was one of the better episodes out of the whole series. It was nice to see another side of Daryl than the hunter. They only drop occasional hints at his past...Merle seeing the scars on his back, his drinking of moonshine...to hear him vulnerable and in the open was a rare treat. Even if they did burn a bunch of perfectly good "shine. Quote
