fishinthedacks Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Sorry if this has been visited before but I access this site on a windows phone and their are a lot of red xs over things so I cant locate the search function. But besides fishing I do a lot of buying and selling. Everything from antiques to video games. So I was wondering while I'm out scouring garage sales, estate sales, and auctions what makes old tackle worth money? Are there brands or certain style old baits worth more than others? I want to know what to look for to maybe one day land something like this for my own collection or to resell. http://m.ebay.com/itm/130766963668?nav=SEARCH Quote
Super User tomustang Posted February 9, 2014 Super User Posted February 9, 2014 I'm not a collector but there's lots of books and websites that can guide you in the right direction for value. Far as the eBay link, I didn't see any authentication so I doubt the story is the real deal Quote
Super User WRB Posted February 9, 2014 Super User Posted February 9, 2014 Get yourself some good books on collecting antique fishing tackle then you can determine what's is valuable and what isn't. Tom Quote

Super User Sam Posted February 10, 2014 Super User Posted February 10, 2014 If possible obtain the original packaging and you will have a valuable antique. Quote
