Hey every one, I'm loking for a good deep crankin rod for under $120. On another forum their saying the Wright& MCgill Skeet Reese rod and Quantum KVD signature series cranking rod are terrible. Are their any good deep 7-10 or 7-11 cranking rods for under $ 120- $ 150?

if you are wanting a cranking stick just to have a cranking stick then the BPS crankin' sticks are good for the money.

also if you are willing to go used, you can also look at duckett crankin line.

you might even be able to squeeze a dobyns cranking stick in there if you shop.

I have the Mojo 6'10, 7'4, and the 7'8 for my cranking.  Mojo is a great rod in that price range.  Also like Brian posted above, BPS's cranking stick is a great rod for the money!

Abu Veritas Winch $99....they have a 7' M, and 7'6" MH. I have had 7'9, and 7'10" MH cranking rods from other brands, and there is little to no difference in casting distance between the 7'6" and the 7'10".

I have two of the skeet reese cranking rods one of them is the 7'10" mag crank and it is a beast, plenty of power, great action, and pretty rugged. You can find these on sale places for around 50-60 that is a great rod for the price. other options are the veritas winch, and mojo's which are very nice. never used the kvd rods, but i would not hesitate to pick one up.

I guess me and WW2 are the only ones stil left on the veritas bandwagon. These are great crankin rods.

I like to buck the trends. A few years ago when Carrot Stix were the only rods worth having, I went with Kistlers. Then when the Veritas was the next great thing I went with Mojo's. Now that the *** rods are the 2nd coming, I go with the Veritas. Give it 6 months and the kids will be on to the next best rod of all time.
