bmac31 Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Hey everyone. I was searching for some fishing apps and as one might expect there's a ton. I like Fishing Spots on the apple app store. Basically its people posting there photos of there catches, its listed by lakes or ponds and you can search locally. Its a nice way to find a new fishing hole. What are your favorite fishing apps? Doesn't matter if its Games/weather/tips/ or other type. As long as it has to do with fishing. Can be apple or android. Look forward to your answers. Brian Quote
Mike2841 Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I use fishing spots a lot, its helped me find a lot of new places. I use knot wars too. Quote
tdown1207 Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Navionics! It is an expensive app at $9.99 but it shows you every lake in the US along with boat ramps, contour lines, dams, dangerous rocks, where vegetation is, and where stump fields are. It will also act as a GPS on the lake, let you pinpoint spots to fish and save them, as well as tell you how fast you are going. It is not as nice as a $1,500 GPS unit for the boat but for me it is a must have for the price. Quote
carlm01 Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I have them both and each one has it's good points Quote

I have this and like it for the most part, but most of the creeks off the main lake don't show up on my lakes. Quote

Super User gulfcaptain Posted February 7, 2014 Super User Posted February 7, 2014 my fishing advisor on Android gives you solar/lunar activity levels as well as a quick outline on what you might use and where. Good basic info if you get stumped on trying to figure them o Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted February 8, 2014 Super User Posted February 8, 2014 Marine weather and tide chart, but I do my due diligence before heading out. I do have an app in case I catch a species I'm not familiar with. I don't like taking the time for my lure to be out of the water. Quote
Jd_Phillips_Fishin Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Bass Rumors is by far my favorite app, followed by Fish Keeper and Knot Wars Quote
bmac31 Posted February 9, 2014 Author Posted February 9, 2014 Looks like I need Bass Rumors, Knot War and Navionics. I currently have a knot app that I've never been a huge fan of. Time to swap it out for knot wars. Bass rumors sounds interesting and from what ppl say navionics looks awesome and I think it'll help me out on my yak. Thanks so much everyone, you never let me down. Brian Quote
Megastink Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I like Scoutlook. Wind direction in real time, fish logging, tide charts, solar/lunar cycles. I'm shocked no one mentioned it so far... And it's FREE! I also like the Navionics web app. It's free as well. 1 Quote
bartdude186 Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 the bass pro fishing game will waste some time in a waiting room, but people look at you funny when you swing your phone like a rod lol. Quote
