papajoe222 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I'm finishing up getting my gear ready and prepping my used rods is the last on the list. Soapy watr and a Q-Tip is what I normally use. Just wondering what you guys use for cleaning. Quote

daiwaguy Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Q-Tip and Lure and line conditioner. If it is really bad I will use something like simple green or mean green. Quote

Maico1 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 First run a piece of nylon stocking through it to check for any imperfections that may need to be addressed . Then run Clorox Wipes through as well as around the Guide and finish with a Q-Tip if needed and paper towel. Finish with Eagle One NanoWax.... Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 All good suggestions. Denatured alcohol works well on some of the more stubborn stains and is safe on finishes. Quote
georgeyew Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Finish with Eagle One NanoWax.... Wow, that is going above and beyond! I am impressed. Quote

Super User Jeff H Posted February 8, 2014 Super User Posted February 8, 2014 I use Bass Boat Saver on my rods and guides (reels too). Cleans and shines them right up. Quote
