catchnm Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 What's the best size and color? I'm thinking basic black and white in the larger size for a bait caster setup. Black for overcast days and white for sunnier days. Maybe a predominantly green color too. Quote
Super User Catt Posted February 4, 2014 Super User Posted February 4, 2014 I use the larger one in chartreuse & white because the marsh I fish that is a hot color. 1 Quote
Super User buzzed bait Posted February 4, 2014 Super User Posted February 4, 2014 i like any green, white, yellow combo for day and any dark/black for lowlight or night 1 Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted February 4, 2014 Super User Posted February 4, 2014 My buddy uses them and I'm sure he has caught a few. I bought the small version on a impulse buy but never threw it yet, not really a fan of the frogs with the skirts I never have luck with them I'm more of a paddle tail frog guy Quote
Ima Bass Ninja Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I use em and love em especially the smaller ones. 1 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 5, 2014 Global Moderator Posted February 5, 2014 i love the small one in the black and yellow color. X2, works great in areas with overhanging trees or grass where bass are waiting for bugs to fall into the water. I've had better hookup success with them if I bend the hooks up slightly though. That little frog casts surprisingly well also, even on casting gear. 3 Quote
Super User Sam Posted February 5, 2014 Super User Posted February 5, 2014 Just picked up three from Academy durng my visit to New Orleans. Will give them a test this summer. I purchased black/yellow; green/yellow and white. 1 Quote

I will have to try bending my hooks up a little, i have had a few hookup issues as well. 1 Quote
Smallmouth Hunter Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 The tiny one that is about 1.5 inches fell apart on me after 100-125 fish in the first week. The led weight on the bottom came out (which I should have superglued back on), and the skirt tails were a bit shredded up (which is expected). 1 Quote
