Weld's Largemouth Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Hello those of you from florida! I am headed down to Boynton beach, FL this month to fish for largemouth in my ponds and i was wondering how has the fishing been during the winter for you guys. I am sure that it is probably great now, i'd like to hear from you! Thanks **oh my... i put this in the northeast section...its because im always in this section usually, sorry please move if possible. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted February 4, 2014 Super User Posted February 4, 2014 Sounds like Loxahatchee to me Florida is south of the snowbelt, but Florida-strain bass are commensurately cold-intolerant....Big Sissies you might say. Bass fishing in winter is typically the slowest of the year, but no season is better for a boating a trophy bass. Roger Quote
Super User Munkin Posted February 5, 2014 Super User Posted February 5, 2014 Florida and winter bass fishing do not belong in the same sentence! It gets down to what 68 degrees in Florida? My take is that if you are not hitting ice with the boat it is not winter fishing. Yes I am hating on the Florida crowd because I have at least 3" of snow on my boat cover. Allen Quote
