ThurmanMerman Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Yeah, I'm starting to feel like a junkie! Itching to catch some bass! Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted March 14, 2014 Super User Posted March 14, 2014 When you go through the clearance bin at your local shop and buy 3 squarebills. Then you realize when you are putting them away that you bought them last time you were there. Quote

FrogFreak Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 When you take over a room in your house and call it the tackle room and move the stereo in there so you can listen to music when you play I mean inventory your 3700 boxes and download an app to keep track of what you need so you can buy it the next time you go to Cabelas.......you might have a problem. Or when you alternate going to the local tackle shops each day during your lunch break to make sure you haven't missed any new inventory...you may have a problem. Or when you take over another room and turn it into your lure making room and buy an airbrush and all the accessories and start making lures every waking moment during the winter....you might have a problem. But I call it passion, not addiction. Quote
Jsinkic Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 What if you have a credit card designated to only Fishing purchases? Hey when you get points to buy more tackle it's not a problem it's a solution! Quote
RT25 Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 how much fun is it when you get to go shopping in your garage every time you fish....I call it collecting!!! 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted November 1, 2014 Global Moderator Posted November 1, 2014 When your buddies start calling you looking for baits instead of the tackle shops. Quote
Super User gulfcaptain Posted November 1, 2014 Super User Posted November 1, 2014 when you walk into a BPS to pick up 2 packs of plastics and some weights and when you get your total it's over $600.00. But I did justify to myself that I did need everything I picked up. I mean that reel was 40% off so had to get it and since I got a new reel I need a new rod to go with it. 1 Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted November 2, 2014 Super User Posted November 2, 2014 When you unload your boat for the winter and realize you need more shelf space. There's 2 milk crates behind the water heater filled with bags of soft plastics. Not as extreme as some of y'all but the sickness is real. Quote

To the OP when your friends come over and say you should open a tackle shop is when you crossed the threshold. Lol Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted November 3, 2014 Super User Posted November 3, 2014 that just gave me a idea for my planos! .... To the OP when your friends come over and say you should open a tackle shop is when you crossed the threshold. LolAccording to all them, I've already done that. I just laugh and say trust me this isn't that bad compared to a lot of people. Now that I've decided to throw some bigger baits, they really shake their head. Once again I laugh and say this really isn't that bad compared to what some people throw. Quote
Super User DogBone_384 Posted November 3, 2014 Super User Posted November 3, 2014 Doesn't one have to admit there's a problem before they define themselves as such? I've got quite a way to go, though I'm off to a good start..... Quote
Weld's Largemouth Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 No one will ever know how many soft plastics are in my backpack :DD Quote
Super User *Hootie Posted November 6, 2014 Super User Posted November 6, 2014 when there is no money in your wallet. And you start relying on plastic money...lol. Hootie Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted November 6, 2014 Super User Posted November 6, 2014 Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity is key. At least for bank fishing. All of my bass so far have come from a small backpack with two plano boxes of hard bait, three or four soft plastic packs, some hooks & weights, and a spinning rod. I'm currently purchasing a baitcaster, so that will be added to my arsenal, but I really don't foresee me getting too much more tackle except an occasional splurge on tacklewarehouse and stuff I need to replace. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted November 6, 2014 Super User Posted November 6, 2014 I found a bag of Senkos in my sock drawer the other day...... 5 Quote
Super User Sam Posted November 6, 2014 Super User Posted November 6, 2014 I don't have room in my man cave for many more plastics. I don't have room in my two dressers that I use for my hard baits to add to my collection. The jig draw is so full that I can't put anymore pigs in the draw. But the sales are coming soon so I just got to check them out. Quote
Catch 22 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 When you spend two hrs in BPS and can`t find anything you REALLY need, but buy something anyway. If my garage burned down, it would be a federal hazmat site.[plastics] .I don`t buy lures because I like it,I do it because I HAVE to, for a fix. Quote

When the local Bass pro shops is knocking on your door asking if you can sell a few tackle to help them re-stock the store. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted November 7, 2014 Super User Posted November 7, 2014 I dont even want to begin to add up the money spent of fishing stuff. LOL Quote
