jhoffman Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I'm always surprised when I hear folks say they like a big refund, or worse, they think its found money. Well, you must factor in the people who virtually dont work yet somehow walk away with about $8000 they never paid into that. The average working person should never have a refund, but I personally would rather overpay then under. 2 Quote

Yes those are bonus checks for them......................and oh yes I overpay every year because I have travelled that other road of under payment once and it is a VERY bumpy road indeed! Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted February 3, 2014 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted February 3, 2014 IRS and state corporate taxes are done and paid. County Intangible taxes paid. State licenses renewed. Now personal taxes to be done. I hate everyone right now. 1 Quote

kwhorne19 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Really would like to use some to get a chartplotter to use in the boat... My wife always refocuses my priorities - we are paying off our first adoption and hope to adopt again this year so that's what ours will be going toward.. So in a way all of it will be used to get me a future fishing buddy!!! 3 Quote
wisconsin heat Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Most of it is going to pay for this semester of schooling, maybe I can squeeze a $50 TW order in. Or maybe a sub to one of our awesome monthly boxes. Quote

On a sidenote taxes are what I do for a living. Uncle Sam really likes it when you are married with young children, thats where my refund comes from. Quote

prjavelin Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 You guys can just sign the checks over to me if you like. If I get one I'll be using mine to increase my inventory. Ron mine will probably end in your hands! I need a trolling motor and a jerkbait combo. Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted February 3, 2014 Super User Posted February 3, 2014 None, I don't lend the Government money. I am the same way....i can save the money myself and make more off of it in a 1% interest bearing account than i can by giving it up and getting nothing in return. Quote

Super User Darren. Posted February 3, 2014 Super User Posted February 3, 2014 Refund? That'd be nice. Self-employed here, can't remember my last refund. We try to balance out so we come close to breaking even with what we've payed the gov vs. what we have to pay. But usually end up owing something. Quote

Same here, I like to be right at zero, but if I have to write a small check, I'm good. I really don't like to see a refund, I guess if I was in the "tax credits" bracket I'd be circling stuff on the BPS catalog too.. ps: Did anyone see the typo on the $tella$' prices on the Cabela's catalog, cheaper than Sustains...
