Siebert Outdoors Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 I was investigating a pack of these last night. I like throwing big baits but wow. These things are huge, anyone throw them with good success? Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted April 5, 2007 Super User Posted April 5, 2007 Yep. I used them almost exclusively for night fishing a few years ago. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted April 5, 2007 Super User Posted April 5, 2007 I fished them for about two years, but found them to be no more effective than 6" Senkos for big bass. The main reason I quit using them was because the are simmply too heavy to cast on my preferred soft plastic equipment (MF spinning tackle). BTW, If you decide to stick with them, I recommend Gamakatsu 5/0 Offset Round Bend Worm Hooks. I use this hook occasionally when fishing 6" Senkos, too. They are stout, very stout. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted April 5, 2007 Super User Posted April 5, 2007 These baits have been one of my "secrets" for muskie. I use a big Gammy superline EWG hook and a tygerwire leader. Never caught a bass on one. Cheers, GK Quote
