catchnm Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 http://www.elgrandelures.com/hatchmatch.html I've been watching this company develop for a few years now and have owned and fished a few of their earlier baits. Caught one of my biggest bass ever on one of the old stick baits they used to make. Anyway looks like Jay has come into a nice place now. Really nice website and some awesome looking baits.....especially the Hatch Match Sticks! Quote
SeanW Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Just another knock off. Im sure it will work, but there are so many knock off senko type baits that it'll be hard to convince the fishing community that its worthy. Not sayin they are not nice. Just that Ive bought and tried alot of knock offs(on alot of baits), there is a reason they are knock offs. Quote
Scorcher214 Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 :-/. meh, just another senko stykle bait. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted December 28, 2010 Super User Posted December 28, 2010 I think they look pretty neat, and the ridges might trigger the bass's lateral line. Quote
OHIO Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 They do look pretty interesting and they could probably catch fish, but $4 for seven of them is pretty expensive. The original shouldn't be cheaper or the same price as the knockoff. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted December 28, 2010 Super User Posted December 28, 2010 The lizard is a really good bait. :-X BTW, those "senko knock offs" aren't ANYTHING like senkos. Quote
Hamby Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 They look a lot stiffer. Kinda like the slug made by berkley. Quote
NateFollmer Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 There plastic is second to none... It's soft, but its VERY durable.. unlike anything else I have used. I've nailed 20+ bass on a single tube. There tubes are great too because they have a solid head. As far as the Hatch Match Sticks go, don't think of it as another stick bait... It's something you just have to try to see what I mean. The Tri-Lam colors are pretty darn cool too... Quote
TXBasshunter Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I think it is great to try different baits even though you think they are just "knock offs". Like me, I make sticks and have sold a lot of them. I know us small guys are willing to offer custom colors, etc for you. We can also provide customer service, etc. that you may not always get with the big boys. Just because they are a "knock off", give them a try. Seems like a lot of guys like to buy a name over the product itself. There are some "knock offs" that produce just as well. Quote

Super User Wayne P. Posted December 29, 2010 Super User Posted December 29, 2010 Another Senko wannabe, no thanks. Quote
