BassnChris Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 This is a great opportunity to meet some of the folks here on the forum. Last year was my first trip and I do not plan on ever missing one........to say its a blast is a vast understatement! Nobody is left standing on the bank that wants to go out in a boat......a great group of fisherpeople. Hope to see you there! 1 Quote

BassnChris Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Take a peek at the fun had at last years roadtrip. You don't want to miss it! http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/pickwick-lake-2013.html Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted February 4, 2014 Super User Posted February 4, 2014 I did not attend the first two RoadTrips. I have been to all since, and will continue as long as I am able. I've made some very good friends at these events. And if a grouchy old bastage like myself can make new friends, think of what you can do. And if that's not enough, you don't want to miss my infamous Saturday Night Wine & Cheese Soiree, which is, of course, on Wednesday evening, and features a lot more than wine and cheese. Quote

At times, there's more whine than cheese, from my buddy Dinky. Especially if you get into his stash of Crispy Cremes. Quote

BassnChris Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 We need a new list of Registrants! You know how nice it is to post a question and have someone answer it here on the forums? It's even better when you can ask your question in person and get immediate in person feedback from everyone on the Road Trip! Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted February 10, 2014 Super User Posted February 10, 2014 Okay, so what's your question? I'll have an answer. It may be a wrong answer, but it's still an answer. Quote

papajoe222 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Made the decision to attend this past week-end and have already received an invite to share a cabin. Now if I can find someone from IL or WI to share the ride down, that'll take some of the financial burden off my back and I can just enjoy the anticipation of meeting up with what I believe is a great bunch of guys and gals. :respect-059: Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted February 11, 2014 BassResource.com Administrator Posted February 11, 2014 Woo hoo! Looking forward to meeting you! Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted February 11, 2014 Super User Posted February 11, 2014 It may be difficult to find someone from your area who wants to attend, and who will share the same time schedule. Some attendees arrive early, some a day or two after the road trip begins. Your best bet might be to check the list of attendees to find out if any who are attending may be along or convenient to the route you will be taking to get to Pickwick. Most members include their locations in their profiles. Do a member search of those who are attending. You may find there are some along the way that you can hook up with to save some money. You can invite friends to attend, even if they are not members. Talk to your fishing buddies. Maybe one of them would join you. All that would remain would to be sure they had a place to sleep at night, even if it's a folding cart, or a pillow and a blanket for the couch in a cabin. Quote

Super User Fishes in trees Posted February 12, 2014 Super User Posted February 12, 2014 Wish I could go this year, but finances say no. Wilson Lake is a haul for me. Maybe next year, I don't know. How about having several regional ones rather than just one? Grand Lake, or Table Rock or LOZ or Truman or Bull Shoals are all very centrally located - nation wise. Quote
