All the canals in Miami carry pea's. PM, Capt Shane maybe he will point you to areas that might be bank accessible. But, you really don't have to travel far. What part of Miami do live in Senko?

I live in the neighborhood next to Palm Springs North, it's right along I-75 and under Miami Gardens Drive (186 th.) I have a boat so bank or boat is cool. I haven't been able to catch a pea in my canals in about a year but I also haven't really tried. Thanks!

You live relatively, close to me. Our area have Pea's. They like to hang around the culverts. My favorite lures for them are Rapala's. Something that moves fast and enticing. They take a good look at it, game over. Pick a canal sytem, put on your walking shoes, and cover water. Oh yeah!,,, polarized glasses is a must.

If you don't mind me asking, what canal system do you fish? I know a lot of people don't like to share their spots so you don't have to answer. :)

I wish I knew, peas have been tough around here and live bait seems to be the ticket.  Have been thinking about road trip, waiting for solid 80+ degree weather.

Right now I work the canal systems off Red Road, and the canals off 138 st. Close to your house there is nice canal that's South of you. You know where Cancun Grill is ? That canal has pea's in it.

The further south in Dade County the better the chance for a big one.

Hey Snazzy, the water system the goes under the 826 and around the Don Shula golf course definitely holds P's. Over by Frontage Rd (west of 826) are spots to slide a boat into the water. There are no ramps over there but I believe on the other end of the water system there is a dirt ramp in a park.

Yup I've fished there a few times in the canal by cancun grill. I've caught one from there and seen a few carp in the canal along the palmetto south from Cancun Grill. I'll try this spot again since it's close. Any reccomendation on lures?

I know exactly what your talking about. In the next few weeks I'm gonna go out sometime there in my boat. Thanks!

The canal by the Palms is a great pea spot - try near the bridge.

You follow that same canal out by Miami Lakes park, same system, nice pea's. I am telling you our area alone has several spots. You can try further south but I would exhaust your options close to home and save your gas $$.

Yum, that place is bangin.

We usually head up there once a month or so. I'll have to try to convince my wife to let me fish after lunch/dinner
