Super User Raul Posted December 21, 2010 Super User Posted December 21, 2010 Really neat: Obviously, I would never throw it in my everyday lake ( it would hang up in an eye blink ). Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted December 21, 2010 Super User Posted December 21, 2010 is that the river2sea? Quote
Super User Bassin_Fin@tic Posted December 21, 2010 Super User Posted December 21, 2010 Got one in that color. been trying to devise a practical way to weed guard it? :-? Quote
Super User Raul Posted December 21, 2010 Author Super User Posted December 21, 2010 Got one in that color. been trying to devise a practical way to weed guard it? :-? That 's what I was thinking, why lure makers don 't think more creatively, I bet that half of us fish in snag paradise country, same beef I had with Huddies until they came up with the weedless versions. Shad_Master Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 How more creatve do yo want them to get? Buy the bait, throw it once, hang it up, lose it, buy a new one. Sounds like the free enterprise system to me Quote

brushhoggin Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 would you look at that? look at it! isn't that something?!?!? just look at it! would you look at that?!?! ;D seriously though, yeah that is a fisherman catcher. looks brilliant but surely they could attach a wire guard to that? i think shad master nailed it. you gotta keep buyin em when you lose one. just look at it! WCCT Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I read somewhere that they are planning one with a weed guard. They are also making one a size smaller too. Sweet looking bait, but in the stuff I fish in, it is not uncommon for me to lose 20 or so football head jigs in a single tournament day. That would get really expensive! Quote
Blue Streak Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 That is a pretty neat idea. I would like to see the action, a fisherman might get creative with that bait. Quote
Hamby Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Looks like it belongs hanging from a rear-view mirror as decoration, not to be actually fished with! Pretty cool looking. Quote

Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted December 23, 2010 Super User Posted December 23, 2010 how about these? http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops®-Hook-Guard-for-Weedless-Lures/product/1997/-343318 Quote
Super User 5bass Posted December 23, 2010 Super User Posted December 23, 2010 I take a short section of plastic worm and put it on the hook point. Most of the time if you crawl things real easy around cover, the worm section is enough to keep it from hanging but once you get a bite, that worm section is no match for a hard hookset. It's probably not the most ideal way of making it weedless but it works if you keep it slow and easy....plus it's cheap. Quote
Super User Sam Posted December 23, 2010 Super User Posted December 23, 2010 Beautiful bait but I thought the claws were supposed to be close to the body so the bass would not be concerned about getting pinched? I agree with the post above as an attempt to solve the problem. May not totally work because so much of the hook is exposed. Fish it until you lose it. Quote
