The only 357 I have shot belonged to my sisters FIL. He was a Chicago cop. I don't believe it was his service revolver but it could have been. This was back in the day when a wheel gun was enough firepower for LEO's. It had a 4" barrel and hard grips. Helluva kick and the muzzle flash was impressive.

Recently changed it up and got myself a Shield Plus in 9mm. I love my P07 but for full days carrying and in slimmer stuff over the summer it can get heavy and hard to conceal. Was going to get a glock but the trigger on the shield plus is really impressive. Cant recall the brand but I added a 13rd bottom plate kit to the 10rd mag. Its slimmer than the factory 13rd so it conceals at the shirt better (13rd kid pictured below).

Added a little light and just got it milled for a Holosun 407k in green. If you have an astigmatism like me the Green really does make a difference and doesnt distort like red does. I carry it in a Trex Sidecar with the mag attachment.

I carry daily.

Glock 43x as a summer weapon, and a Glock 19 with rmr and surefire x300u for winter gun.

Let me know if you can find where you bought the bottom plate kit. Sweet pistol. Just bought the plus last yr and love it.

I can not get used to my G19 with holosun on it. I can’t find the dot quickly. So until I can, it stays in the safe.

Excellent little pistol. Still have an itch for a glock, but know I'll be replacing the trigger.

Edited to give the correct link.

I've been carrying daily for over a decade. Been carrying a Ruger Blackhawk in 44 special for a couple years now. I catch some flak for carrying a cowboy gun, but that's what I like and practice with, so that's what I carry.

I pocket carry a snub nose wheel gun during the summer. A lot more comfortable than a pistol.

I carried a Smith & Wesson 642 a while, it was a good little gun, but like so many others it fell victim  to the urge to trade.

You won't catch me out of the house without my 43x in a concealed carry on hip. In the winter I like to take the bigger guns out for a "walk" every now and then. That, then there's the truck gun...

I got a new Taurus  9mm for Christmas so I’ve been carrying most every day so far . Sold my 40 over a year ago, and my 6 inch barrel 22 is just too bulky for daily wear. ( It’s my vehicle gun).

I need a better holster though for the 9mm.The one that came with the gun is very uncomfortable.

Im going to check with work before I carry there though  . It is a gun friendly management but I need to find out their policy before I start there.

@N Florida Mike check out knightfallcustoms.com

I have the normal gun guy box of uncomfortable holsters. Knightfall isn’t in that box. Good prices, pretty quick delivery and Veteran owned.

First off, I don't like the way Taurus feel in my hands...

I am 100% happy with Vedder Holsters.

Enjoying the cooler AZ weather and rocking the M&P 4" Compact Optics Ready. Transitioning to red dot in the near future.  Probably the trijicon rmr type 2.

We are not allowed to carry at work and I am currently following the rules. The owner of the company is scared one of his employees will shoot him. I am not sure why, he treats me like family.

That being said, there is talk of the city turning an abandoned CVS store, across the street, into a migrant shelter. I promise I will be breaking the rules.

If someone wanted to shoot the owner they would just do it, rules or not…

You might lose your job but save your life…🤷🏼‍♂️.

Some rules are meant to be bent or broken. When I was a meter reader we would have to go to some very remote areas without cell service. A response from the sherrif would take easily over an hour and half to two. The 9mm always went along hidden. What they don't know won't hurt them. Gun free policy is asinine.

The Hogue grips take up a lot of the recoil. I put 50 rounds of .357 and 25 rounds of .38sp thru it and there really wasn't much of a difference in recoil. My only real complaint is trying to find a place for my pinky because of the short grips. When using both hands to fire, I was shooting low left. I just need to put more rounds thru it and get used to the way it acts.

I picked up a 43x for my newest EDC. I’ll probably revert back to my G43 to EDC during the summer months.

I have an izula myself. Cousin gave it to me as a gift one year. Nifty little knife and seems fairly tough so far.

A little update, I know I bragged on the green dot I put on my Shiled in a previous post but having used it much more now I still prefer the red. The green definitely is sharper for an astigmatism but its also a lot more tricky to setup correctly for different light conditions. It nearly vanishes during the day when I have it set to indoor settings and blows out indoors when its set to outdoor brightness. Red I've always been able to find a happy medium, however, the real answer is the trijicon RMR and its auto brightness adjust. Nothing beats that, hands down.

Little update on this after carrying it for nearly a year and putting quite a few rounds through it and "dry clearing" through some different lighting conditions.

I've come to hate the holosun (clickbait).

It works great, dot is clear, has held up and adjusts consistently. Battery seems to die faster than my RMRs but I just set the reminder every 6 months instead of my birthday (christmas and july now).

What I cant stand is how the dot doesnt auto adjust the brightness like the RMR does. If I set it for inside my house or lower light conditions where odds are higher I'd need it the dot gets complete lost during the day or outside. If I adjust it for just barely being visible outside it completely blows out the window in low/no light situations. To my knowledge there is no small sized red dot optic with a good track record that auto adjusts except the RMRcc.

For a pure range gun I'd have no problem using the Holosun.

I've now decided to do what I should have and not cheaped out. Selling the Shield setup and starting fresh to go RMRcc.

Pistol is fantastic though, shoot it nearly as good as my full size P07. Mag guts 13rd kits have become my preferred mag. The stock ones feed well but for some reason the mag guts 13rd kits feel better in my hand than the stock 13rd mag. Cant explain it.
