BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted January 28, 2014 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted January 28, 2014 I have been carrying a Ruger for the past year. I'm thinking of a ladle for my new concealed carry. Or maybe a Vietnamese, I'm undecided... 3 Quote
Super User Root beer Posted January 28, 2014 Super User Posted January 28, 2014 Shoulda snatched the money and ran him over. Your time is valuable. How dare he waste it. A Vietnamese man with a giant spoon is the scariest thing anyone can EVER come up against. I would rather come face to face with a .454 Magnum. I highly recommend hiring a couple as body guards. If you throw a Halloween party next year, I already got my costume picked out. 4 Quote

Super User Hi Salenity Posted January 28, 2014 Super User Posted January 28, 2014 I've don dozens of CL deals, none of them without one of my Springfield friends. Quote
CayMar Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 You made the right decision getting out of there. Who knows how far this guy will go for $250 worth of fishing gear. You can't be to careful these days. I've only used CL a few times and had good experiences. I received messages from people who seemed sketchy, but I chose not to reply. You gotta take the good with the bad I guess. I ladled a guy once. For what you ask? Hacking on Raider. 1 Quote
Mike2841 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 There's some crazy people on CL. A couple of my buddies tried to get a lady friend on CL, she ended up taking their money and bolting. They chased her out to the car and some guy that was with her pulled out a gun on them. Most of my transactions through CL have gone pretty well, thats where I got my car. Quote
basshole8190 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 So we know you won't take $175, how about $180? lol Quote
Super User South FLA Posted January 29, 2014 Super User Posted January 29, 2014 I guess I have been lucky to date, sold plenty and bought plenty without getting stung. Quote

Super User Teal Posted January 29, 2014 Super User Posted January 29, 2014 I can't stand that. As a seller. You agree on a firm price over the phone and they show up with the mind set that they are going to bring you down by allegedly only bringing 75% of the original price... As a buyer, I've done that. But when I call to meet, I don't make any negotiations, I simply say ill come by to look at the merchandise. Then I will see how low I can go. But I've never gotten crappy with the seller. Normally if the negotiation fails, ill leave my phone number with the seller and tell them good luck and if other sales don't work out, to call me and of I still have the money ill revisit the idea. And there have been multiple occasions where they call me back willing to sell at my price... Some have caught me within a couple days and I still had the money.... Some have waited too long and I couldn't do it or I had already bought the item elsewhere. Loved the reference to Raider. I saw the FISHING STEREOTYPE video and pictured him as the rage monster... chromedog Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 You have to be real careful with craigslist. They think that after you are there you will just accept it. Seen it before. People are people I guess. But that is a common scam on there. That and people wanting to buy the merchandise for a child or veteran out of the country. Quote

Super User SirSnookalot Posted January 30, 2014 Super User Posted January 30, 2014 I like the security of pay pal, never even been on Craig List web site. For a few hundred bucks worth of stuff that I didn't want anymore I'd donate it. Quote
