A Real Eye Opener For Sure

My wife gave me a FishTV about four years ago and due to various reasons have not used it untill yesterday.

OH My Gosh...it was awesome. I had someone with me who had never used one and it was an eye opener for him also. I mainly wanted to use it to campare what I saw on my Lowrance with what was on the TV. I had about three places I wanted to look as fishing was the priority. Water temp was 38 to 41. Pulled up on first place and caught a couple small fish and then dropped the TV. There were bass everywhere and some good looking ones too. So on to second place and it was the same story. Caught a couple keeps and dropped camera and saw how many bass were down there that weren't hundry!! The last place we looked was rediculas. No catching and fish everywhere. Stopped one other place on way back in and saw something on grapgh so partner dropped the unit down and he said there was a school of bass parading by camera.

It definitly takes a lot of time to use one of these things but it is soooo fun. It also proved that we $!@# at catching them all.

Oh...depths we were looking were from 12 to 30 and in some places looked like we could see eight or ten feet with TV.

Good to hear that.  I just bought an Accu Vu 760 cz.  I tried it out at Table Rock yesterday but couldn't see much.

It would be nice to have water clear enough to take advantage of the cameras.

We used a large towell to cover our heads and the unit. Helped a lot.

I bought a Vexilar 7" color camera a couple years ago and it was the same thing the first time I dropped it down.  Fished a known smallie area twice without a bite, marked a few fish, but dropped the camera down and they were swimming around down there like an aquarium.   lol     Should use it more than I do, but it is time consuming to use, and conditions need to be right also (clearish water and fairly calm winds).   I tend to use it more on the ice though.

Man I would love to try one on my home lake. The first thing to learn: keep trying different baits until you get bit. The fish are there, just gotta catchem.

That was awesome seeing that bass just barely nibble that jig. I doubt your son felt it, right?

Went out again Friday and it is so awesome to watch the fish. Due to ice couldn't see a lot of places I wanted to go but did see some more fish and learned my ol Lowrance some more. This thing is addicting!!

Tried putting i-phone under towel but didn't have any luck....sorry. But what is neat if you see it on the Lowrance you can see it on TV. Of coarse visabilty has been at least six fet when I've use it.
