Super User Raul Posted December 20, 2010 Super User Posted December 20, 2010 I only want the weights ..... why do I have to purchase the friggin ' hook ? > Not because I don 't trust the hook quality or sharpness, what I don 't like is the combination hook size vs weight, what if what I want is to use a 3/0 hook with a 1/64 th oz weight ? I don 't need more 1/0 & 2/0 hooks :-? , I don 't mind paying 6-7 bones just for the weights. Japanese stuff here I go .... again. : Quote

Siebert Outdoors Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I agree Raul. The weights are cool but I really dont need any hooks. Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted December 20, 2010 Super User Posted December 20, 2010 When Bassn sent me some sebile soft swim baits from that contest, it cam with the hook and some weights, I love them, I also just wish they would sell the weights alone. Quote
Hamby Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Yeah, the only ones i can ever find sold separately are lead ones. Quote
Super User Marty Posted December 21, 2010 Super User Posted December 21, 2010 A good way to get weight onto the hook shank is to crimp on a rubber core sinker with the rubber pulled out. I've never seen any smaller than 1/16 but maybe there's a way to cut them down to smaller sizes. Quote
Hamby Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Yeah, even the lead clip on weights from BPS don't go any lower than 1/16th. I don't think i'd fish anything lower than 1/16th when it comes to weighted hooks though. Quote
SeanW Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Better yet just buy em as is, then donate the hooks to a young kid that needs em. Quote
Hamby Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I don't need any hooks...but if anybody buys a rod, reel, or both that comes with a hat, but doesn't want the rod/reel, then... Quote
