Need Sunglasses after Lasik

So I got lasik 9/28/10 - it came highly recommended from many of you....can I jsut say - YOU ALL WERE SO DARN RIGHT!!!!!! My vision was 20/15 the day after.....and I now am free of glasses WOOOHOOO (at least til I need reading glasses, but I am now 27...).

Anyway...I had a 50 dollar pair of magellan sunglasses from academy bought 2 years back - amber lenses - and those were quite comfortable on me and my eyes never felt strained....but on a recent trip to see the fam, they were lost in travel, and I am really good about not losing such things so I was ticked...

Anyway, I am now in the market and that particular pair I cannot find anymore......

So many people have said get costas...but I am cheap and cannot quite find the gumption to blow 200-300 bucks on a pair.....especially when I was pleased with my previous 50 dollar pair....perhaps I hadnt tasted the forbidden fruit...

I was hoping some folks have some other name brands that are high quality, COMFORTABLE, and moderately priced....I want a pair that is good for most conditions - I hear green tint amber lens are pretty good all around

Maybe you should go to the WalMart optometrist shop. You can buy the sport frames and have them add the polarization tints to the lenses and you can get a two pairs for one price. Ill bet they wouldnt cost half the price as what you would find in the BPS Stores.

Really you need to wear eye protection at all times while fishing whether it is noontime or midnight. My cousin works in a emergency room and told me about a guy with a 3/16 oz bullet weight lodged into his forehead. It had actually penetrated his skull so that fluid was coming out the hole where the line goes through.

Eye Surrenders are good in expensive sunglass's. I have a pair of those and the Costa Del Mars. I usually swap between these 2 pairs. I actually have about 20 pairs of fishing glass's. Solar Bats, Cocoons, Ocean Waves, and many more I dont remember the name of.

   Well it happens for several reasons. One I love sunglass's, second I just dont lose em. Typically buy 2 pairs a year, so it add's up Not sure why I felt a need for the Costa's, but I had a gift cert so I got em for little out of pocket money. The eye surrenders are very close, and you can get every color for the price of the Costa's. Ill be buying another pair this year.

Almost forgot, I have a pair of Oakley fishing glass's as well. They are by far the biggest piece of junk I have. Nasty glare, and the lenses get very bad water spotting. No they were not cheap. >

Thanks sean, I am sure that costa's are worth it to many...if I had more dough I wouldnt mind as much paying - but if there is something that protects my eyes equally and are equally as comfortable and durable, then I will try it - hopefully at a lower cost..

those eye surrenders are like 40 bucks (35 on some sites) - you know if they are US made?  I try to when possible buy something that is US made, but when the difference 150 dollars, I will break that principle....

Are they very comfortable for you?  I hate when sunglasses hurt your ears only after 1-2 hours of use!!

I hate that I cannot try them on though....not sure what to do about that....at this price though I may just take the plunge and try a pair.....

Dont think I would buy oakley, I seem to never like the frames...but Im sure ive never tried them all....I am looking for something in the 40-90 dollar range anyway..

I got it. Just go get yourself a new Revo, and mail in for your free pair of Wiley X P-17's. I was very surprised that these were as good as they are. Way lighter and more comfy than my Oakley Shallow Blues, and you can't beat the deal.

LLBean's Polarized glasses are $40-$50 and made by Smith Optics I love mine and with Bean's customer support you basically bought a lifetime of glasses with one purchase.

If you have more $$$ available to you check out Native, really nice at ~$100.

  I believe they are made in the USA, I know they are a US company. Out of the glass's Ive owned, they are the best sub $100 glass's Ive worn. They are very comfortable, light, and a great warranty. I am buying another pair this year, but another color. Different colors make a difference under different conditions so Id like to have another pair. I have the amber lens and they are always my first choice.
