When I was 16, Dad found a  Cutlas 442 convertible that was in a garage when the house burned, got drug out by the FD and sat under a tree under a tarp without a top for years.  Lots of elbow grease and many deliveries from JC Whitney later, I had a beautiful hot rod, dark blue, white interior and top.  It attracted a lot of attention from both the chicks and the cops.  Man I miss that ride.

When I was a little squirt my folks had a 1970 Cutlass Supreme.  It was a blue grey color with black interior.  Loved that car!

That's cool. My dad had a 70 Monte Carlo. Mom, and us kids pretty much did that car in. Lived to over 200k miles, into the mid 80s. When I started driving, had a 77 Monte, silver with a red interior. The "Silver Bullet" was a sweet ride high school.

That's awesome.  Our Cutlass was driven into the ground as well.  But it was always kept clean.  No dings or scratches that I can remember...until we sold it.  The guy that bought it was backing out of our driveway...and hit the fence.  We all grimaced.

A couple years later Dad traded some airplane seats and other avionics to a buddy for a '69 Chevelle SS 396 4 speed.  This one got restored for my little brother who wrapped it around a power pole about a year later and totaled it.  He drove a Pinto wagon the rest of the way through high school.

That sir is MY superbird.  69' ss Chevelle with a smoking 396(they all did), 4 speed, black with red stripes or vise versa!  Although the round rear tail lights of the 70 look better...

I was always partial to the first generation and the 1970 Camaros, '72 Cutlass convertible, and '72 Monte Carlos, but I think my favorite was the Chevy II Nova. Not sure why. it was such a plain Jane car. Now that I'm older, I'd like an old school Chevy or Ford pickup. When I was younger I went to the dragstrip all the time. I hung out with Tony Schumacher in his garage in high school. I even messed around with his girlfriend :eyebrows: I remember the last time I was at the dragstrip. My son was a baby(23 years ago) My ex wife, boy and I got there. She decided it was too loud for him and we left, never to return again.  :cry4:

Your girl has some curves too.

They just don't make them with that kind of style anymore.  The new Challenger in all black gets close, but not quite.

I was fortunate to be a teenager of driving age right when all the muscle cars had aged to the teenager price range.

GTO's, Chevelle's, Chevy II's, Charger's, Mustangs, Challenger, 442's, early Comaro's, Barracuda's the list is endless.

326, 327, 396, 440, 351, 330, 426, 454, the Hemi. Four barrels, tri-packs, headers, ah the memories of youth gone by.
