I don't think there is a cooler car on the planet.  Would love to find an unrestored model and bring it back to life.

super birds are cool cars, even down to how they came to be around is pretty neat. Good luck finding one that is run down as most are either too far gone or stored up in a collection it seems.

Cool cars indeed.  However...

427 s/c ~ $5,000,000

Daytona couple ~ $1,000,000

Ferrari 250 GTO ~ $30,000,000

One of my dad's friends has a 70 Road Runner. I personally like them better even though they aren't worth 1/2 as much

Roadrunner's are fantastic cars as well.  1970 was the pinnacle year for American muscle in my opinion.  1970 Dodge Charger R/T was a fantastic car.

You're right, I never said anything about price.  Those cars are indeed pretty awesome.  I can't imagine driving around in a car worth 7+ figures.

I come from a different generation I guess. :-P

I actually know where one is, nobody has ever been able to buy it; the guy is content to watch it rust away.

There is a guy down the street from my parents, and where i grew up, that had a bad a$$ nova, fully restored etc....unfortunately it has jsut sat and sat and has pretty much rotted away.  When i was there over Christmas i took a look at it and offered to buy it for cheap but he had an unrealistic value in his head....so i guess it rots.....sad

If we're talking Mopar, the Super Bird is hard to beat.  It simply has a cool factor that always grabs attention.  My personal favorite Plymouth from this era is the '69 GTX, the "gentleman's muscle car"

That's the biggest problem with buying a car of this nature.  The seller usually has an unrealistic price for it that negates the possibility for a deal.

There's currently a '67 GTX for sale on Ebay.  A true barn find.  Unrestored, all original, looks like it just rolled out of the factory.  I love stories like this!

Too "Belvedere-ie" for me. Cool piece of history, though. There was a true numbers matching 69 hemi rotting in a lot next to work that tortured me for years.  I believe it was eventually snapped up by a restorer.

Well.  Someday I hope to find a barn find Superbird.

A guy can dream, right?
