Hey everyone,

My name's Sam, and i live in manchester, VT. I grew up outside of Boston fishing for bass at Farm pond in Dover and the charles river, as well as Striper along the MA shore. My family has a 20' Key West dual console boat moored in Danvers, and I have caught many fish off the shores and islands of cape anne, mostly with tubing worms and sea worms.

My dad taught me to fly fish when I was 8, and i have taken some trips to Tall Timber lodge in Pittsburgh, NH, the top of the connecticut river. Ive done some more fly fishing here in vermont, but i enjoy bass fishing more.

I have fished plenty of vermont waters in the past couple years. I like to go smallmouth fishing in the ct river, and have found smallmouth, largemouth, pike, pickerel, chub, brookies, bows and browns all within an hour of my house. I just bought my first baicaster, an abu revo s, and am looking forward to learning how to flip and pitch this summer. I also have a shimano stradic 4000 fj, which is great, and will probably be getting a 2500 fj for lighter tackle.

Anyways, happy to join the conversation.

Welcome!

I love Manchester, VT.  Very nice town (not to mention the home of Orvis and the American Museum of Fly Fishing).  Though, I am surprised to hear there is a Pittsburgh, NH.  I will be sure to visit there next time I goto New England.
