Mr_Scrogg Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 My wife's Christmas present. 10 weeks old. "Griffin" Solid 18lbs House breaking is going good, so is crate training. Our other dog is a 8 year old Sheltie. He's an old salt, dont put up with that puppy bs, biting, jumping, nipping. Lol I dont hunt, but he will be a faithful fishing buddy. Gotta get some ice thawed to work on his sea legs. Lets see your buddies. Helpful info appreciated. 2 Quote
Super User Darren. Posted January 24, 2014 Super User Posted January 24, 2014 Got 3 dogs in our household. Latest is Oakley, she's now 7 months old and a complete knuckle headed black lab. Don't have any online pix, but she's a lot like yours. Crate trained, non-hunter (we don't hunt), just a great family pet. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted January 24, 2014 Super User Posted January 24, 2014 Whats her weight at that age? She's in the 45 pound range right now. Need to get her back to the vet soon where I'll get a better weight. Quote

EvanT123 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Nice looking dog scogg. I think having an older dog around definetly helps show the pups what's cool and what's not. Quote
Mr_Scrogg Posted January 25, 2014 Author Posted January 25, 2014 Good looking dog Jeff, love the last pic!! "CRAZY EYE"!! Quote
Super User retiredbosn Posted January 25, 2014 Super User Posted January 25, 2014 Labs are high energy dogs, need allot of exercise and something to do. Notorious diggers when bored, properly exercised and trained great companions, if not they're 80 lbs of raw energy. Y Quote
EvanT123 Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Missed the last part of the post. Good looking dogs guys. Here's my meat head. Love a show off your dog thread. 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 25, 2014 Global Moderator Posted January 25, 2014 Our golden, Cassidee, has been fishing with me every since she was a pup. She's a pain sometimes to have in the boat and my wife worries about her like I have our baby in the boat, but she's a great dog and makes life much more enjoyable. She does pretty well in the boat actually. Other than the fact she loves to be right under your feet and doesn't know to avoid treble hooks (hasn't been hooked yet but it's coming) she's only fallen out of the boat once and doesn't whine like my old dog does. Trying to point the next fish out for me 1 Quote
Super User Sam Posted January 25, 2014 Super User Posted January 25, 2014 Congrats. Beautiful puppy. My grand dog, an Aussie, jumps out of the boat so he has lost his boating privileges. 1 Quote
Mr_Scrogg Posted January 25, 2014 Author Posted January 25, 2014 Im anxious to get him out on the water. Our Sheltie does well. Likes to bark at the waves that splash against the hull. Quote

Our neighbors growing up, used to breed them and show them. Those are some enormous dogs. Quote
Super User retiredbosn Posted January 25, 2014 Super User Posted January 25, 2014 Congrats. Beautiful puppy. My grand dog, an Aussie, jumps out of the boat so he has lost his boating privileges. My springer had an affinity for buzzbaits, she always wanted too retrieve one. She lost her boating privileges early on. If she wasn't jumping overboard to chase lures, it was ducks, geese, frogs other boats. Quote
