After 50 yrs of rebuilding my own reeIs, I finally decided to send about 10 of my fav's to a REEL PRO ;) and Mike at Delaware Valley Tackle did a terrific job  I only use the old Curados as they hold up to my style of ABUSE with winching on 65lb braid and 25lb fluoro minimums. It was amazing how much better these were when I got them back and another THANKS to Mike... REEL PRO ;)

Do you mind going into detail on how they are Better?

Smooth, Quiet, Cast are long, flips are sweet, drags are super smooth, all balanced, bearings give NO feel sound or vibration during any part of use... Bout all I can say!

Now that is what I call an endorsement.  :teeth:  50 years doing your own work makes you plenty qualified to realize the quality of Mike's work.  Mike has done a few reels for me.  At least 2 used reels went directly to Mike before heading my way.  Didn't use my brand new Cuardo 51E until after Mike went through it.  Probably should have so I'd have a reference as to how much better the reel was after Mike did his magic.

Actually, Mike and I share info quite regularly. When I first met him at a fishing seminar, it was pretty clear he knew what he was doing after the first five minutes of talking to him. He's even gotten me out of a couple jams - disappearing e-clips; crazy two speed reels; etc.

LOL, I just bought 3 more used Curados and sending them to Mike for gear upgrades and ck out prior to getting them in the mix... Figured he may find something that needs attention while I'm BRUISING the ones he just finished tuning... It's nice to have a "one man pit crew" to help keep me in the Game
