You have seen them all the way back to 67? Impressive.

I've seen every one too, I may have fallen asleep in a few but I saw the kickoff.......lol.  Before the Superbowl I saw many NFL championships on TV.  My Lions were at home in 57' 59-14 against the Browns, last good team we had.................hahaha.

I was in the 9th grade and attended every Chief's home game that year ('66 season).

One of my teachers bought two season tickets in the Wolf Pack at Kansas City's old

Municipal Stadium. Super Bowl I as it has come to be known was actually called The

World Championship Game, January 15, 1967.

Three years later, my senior year of high school, the Chiefs won their first and last

World Championship Game (Super Bowl IV) 23-7 against the Minnesota Vikings. The

following year the AFL-NFL merged and the "Super Bowl" was born. The Kansas City

Chiefs have never been back.

Fishing in the morning and afternoon, then it's game time.

Super Bowl.  But I purposely fish through regular season Packer games because I have all the water to myself.  I'm a transplant to this state from Cincinnati, so not only do I not bleed green and gold, I have little natural football pride to begin with.

super bowl easily. its the last nfl football game of the year until preseason in august. plus i dont fish this time of year. i dont fish every day anyways, being an nfl fan, why would i fish during the super bowl? when its dark out and really cold out...i mean i understand if you dont like football or only like watching your team, then it makes sense you wouldnt watch it. its just had to believe some would pass up the biggest game of the year for something they can do any other time

Fishing. Unless the Raiders or Eagles are in it.

Especially this year. Seeing as I can't stand Denver. I believe I will watch the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet instead.

Maybe I should do like all the NCAA football fans do. GO AFC West!! :D

Simple. I live for my Raiders, and I hate Denver with a passion. So I would rather watch puppies play on a fake indoor field. Least it will put a smile on my face.

Your assuming I didn't fall asleep........................lol.

IMO more than often the game itself does not live up to the hype, the playoffs are more fun to watch, but I'm going to watch anyway.

I did prefer when the playoffs were televised starting Saturday at 12:00 instead of the later times as it's done now.

I would go fishing but its dark here by that time and everything is frozen. Even tho i do like watching football its not really a big deal if i watch the super bowl or not.  Like others said before its a fam and friend kinda deal which is fun.

Gosh...didn't realize it was at 6:30. Well if the kids come over I'll put something on the BBQ and if not may have to go fishing first. May go to church sat night if weather looks like it might warm a bit on Sunday.

This is an interesting thread to me. It confirms that for some the Super Bowl is part of the American culture. For them the thought of not watching is "hard to believe". For others, like me, it is just another game in an endless chain of games. I do have a little interest in seeing if Manning can finish a storybook season, so will probably have the game on.

Now if the choice was game 7 of a Cardinals World Series, I might fish with one eye on my smartphone... :eyebrows:

Superbowl comes but once a year. I can fish any other day...or night.

And whenever my beloved Panthers ever make the big dance again, its an absolute yes, I won't be anywhere else but on my couch watching the game... Hell Ill probably be watching the full day of pre game.

Last year's audience was estimated at 108 million.

Looks like Sunday will be fishing a local tourney to benefit a young girl who is having some medical difficultys. So hope the weather is at least in the fourtys!! Then will warm up on couch to watch the game.

Fishing for sure, especially this year. I don't care about the Seahawks and I despise the Donkeys, so I won't be watching even if the weather is bad.

I can hardly wait for all the reasons why Seattle beats Denver.
