Super User SirSnookalot Posted January 23, 2014 Super User Posted January 23, 2014 Caught this fish yesterday, about 2" sore on the side of it's lip, had a matching one in the same spot on the other jaw. Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted January 23, 2014 Super User Posted January 23, 2014 I have seen those before. I have always thought that those were fish that been caught before, and the sore was the sign of hook trauma. Quote
John F. Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I caught my biggest bass ever on Christmas Eve and it had a similar sore. It was on the saltwater side of a spillway in Palm City so I figured that was why. The fish was also slow but I attributed that to the cold water. Quote
Super User geo g Posted January 23, 2014 Super User Posted January 23, 2014 That could be from an old hook in the mouth infection, trama from an old catch. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted January 23, 2014 Author Super User Posted January 23, 2014 I neglected to mention that in addition 2 those 2 sores third very similar sore was also on the body. Quote
Super User MCS Posted January 23, 2014 Super User Posted January 23, 2014 Looks like that bass ran into one of them flesh eating zombies. Looks like they are moving outta Miami, time to stock up on ammo. 1 Quote
GLADES Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 The bass looks thick like it is eating well. Maybe the lawn/agriculture pesticides or storm run off is poisining them. Quote
Joe Schmuckatelli Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 looks like he has the gift that keeps on giving... Herpes! 1 Quote
Super User Sam Posted January 25, 2014 Super User Posted January 25, 2014 Send the photo to your stage's game and fisheries department and ask them. Then let us know what they say. Quote
