bkohlman Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I use a sharpie to add some orange near the front hook on some cranks and top waters, and even some blue at the tails of some cranks, what do you do? Quote
annexation Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I add a stout split ring to the nose of my spooks; seems to give them a better side-to-side glide. 1 Quote
Dyerbassman Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Orange Sharpies are killer for me. Add in some orange and hold on. 1 Quote
papajoe222 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I'm always tinkering. Color, split rings, hooks, you name it. I've even gone as far as changing the action of my cranks by adding weight internally and shaving the lips. On spinnerbaits, I've shortned the arms, switched out or removed blades, replaced the skirt with a grub.... Don't get me wrong, I've ruined more than my share. I've also hit the jackpot in my quest to show 'em something different. 2 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 25, 2014 Global Moderator Posted January 25, 2014 I change the hooks on almost all of mine. I don't normally do it for tinkering, but I've chipped or broken bills and filed them down so they're no longer effected by it, end up with a pretty different action sometimes. 1 Quote
