Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 17, 2014 Author Global Moderator Posted February 17, 2014 Blue, let me know when you want to go to Shawnee What baits do I need? 1/8-1/4oz Little Cleos, Castmasters, or Super Dupers. Last year they really liked gold but we fished lots of cloudy days so that may have had something to do with it. I'm sure they'd eat inline spinners but we never fished one. Ned rigs worked pretty well, as did small cranks like little countdown Rapalas or Rapala Ultra Light cranks. Jon caught several on a Luck E Strike G5 along with some largemouth. Small crappie jigs and micro jigs either cast or fished under a bobber all worked really well also. I've been tying up a bunch of trout jigs so I'll try to remember to post some pictures of what they look like. If I remember right almost all our biggest fish ate the Little Cleos. I had a monster follow a deep diving jerkbait to the boat also. Quote
cbass12 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I caught a few on the little SK Slab Hammer crankbaits Quote

Super User Hi Salenity Posted March 4, 2014 Super User Posted March 4, 2014 How did they stock it if it was frozen? Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 4, 2014 Author Global Moderator Posted March 4, 2014 How did they stock it if it was frozen? I'm guessing the same way Wyco does, back a backhoe down the ramp and knock a hole in the ice and dump the fish in. I got from a reliable source that it is 100% for sure stocked and open as of the 1st though. 1 Quote

RJ986 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I'm a possible for the 20th depending on the weather. I can go as a non-boater or a boater if my boat trailer tagged. I sure do love my liberal leave policy at work. Quote

It should be a really good time, especially if you like catching big, hard fighting fish on light tackle Quote

Mr_Scrogg Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 When does the property tax bit usually get mailed out? Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 5, 2014 Author Global Moderator Posted March 5, 2014 I need to get it registered If you really want to get it registered you can do it at the KC office on 83rd street and K7 in Lenexa. I did that with my John boat and it took me about 10 minutes. When does the property tax bit usually get mailed out? I got mine last winter but I don't know if they mail them out by last name or not like other taxes. Quote
