As i was told for those who are familiar with their Carbon Steel series, the Pro Series is a refinement of that blank with Cork handle, Marco guides, and Lighter from the previous late model blanks. Only downsize is that this rod is made in China & inspected to a full extent in Texas, which i don't blame them for such a competitive rod market. 1234567 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 I have used Micro mags in the past and really like them a lot. I have two Kistler carbon steels and I really like these rods a lot too! My Team daiwa zillion rods have taken a back seat to the over less than half the price Kistlers as of late. For the price I am very happy. It was either these or the duckett white ice. Quote
