Had a decent day yesterday for sure  w/ safe ice @ 4" + in most spots...only got out for 3 hours because the first spot we were supposed to fish at was sketchy with only 3" of ice and some open water......not taking any chances........bass were definately chewin  at our second spot...!!!......all fish on shiners and jigging.....FISH ON!!!!......best from today

Way to go Mitch.

Great Day for the Jersey crew.

Ever notice that bigger than average bass are caught through the ice?

I think it's females that are starting to feed in order to nourish all the tiny eggs developing in the ovaries. You just don't see many dinks caught on tip ups, IMO.

Great job guys, I grew up in Jersey but never wanted to fish bad enough to go out on the ice.  Moved to south Florida so I could fish 200  days a year.  I give you guys a lot of credit.  WTG
