When do you guys put on new line before the spring season?  a few months before? a month? a week? the day of?  does memory have a factor in your decision?

braid-stays on forever until it needs replaced. stuff will last forever.

fluoro-if i'm low at the time i put my reels away, i strip it off. if not, it stays on and just gets some KVD line and lure a few days before. no issues really /w memory using tatsu/sniper.

mono-gets stripped off almost always at the end of the season and gets replaced a coulple days before the first outing.

Many times I've left mono on all winter and used it the following year with no problem. It was stored properly, in a cool basement, not exposed to the elements.

I store nylon lines inside during the winter in MI since the outside humidity is very low.  Nylon doesn't like low humidity.  Having said this, I don't know how long it takes nylon to absorb water to get back to its normal state.
