Paul Peixoto Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 When do you guys put on new line before the spring season? a few months before? a month? a week? the day of? does memory have a factor in your decision? Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted January 14, 2014 Super User Posted January 14, 2014 braid-stays on forever until it needs replaced. stuff will last forever. fluoro-if i'm low at the time i put my reels away, i strip it off. if not, it stays on and just gets some KVD line and lure a few days before. no issues really /w memory using tatsu/sniper. mono-gets stripped off almost always at the end of the season and gets replaced a coulple days before the first outing. Super User Marty Posted January 15, 2014 Super User Posted January 15, 2014 Many times I've left mono on all winter and used it the following year with no problem. It was stored properly, in a cool basement, not exposed to the elements. 1 Quote
Super User MickD Posted January 15, 2014 Super User Posted January 15, 2014 I store nylon lines inside during the winter in MI since the outside humidity is very low. Nylon doesn't like low humidity. Having said this, I don't know how long it takes nylon to absorb water to get back to its normal state. Quote
