Does anyone have a good way to keep rats out of a baot in winter? Just went out freshen up line on rods & rod box & another storage box was full of rat scat, paper leaves, hey hug nest. Does anyone know if the electronic repellers work?

Thanks for the help

Never had this problem personally. But the guy who owns a marina nearby has suggested putting moth balls inside of socks to keep rodents out.

Dryer sheets in every compartment and especially around the electronics wiring. Cheap and easy.

Dryer sheets and moth balls work about the best for me.

Soak some cotton balls with peppermint oil/extract. You can get it at GNC. Pretty cheep. It will keep the mice/rats far away.

To keep rats and mice out of the boat just put a snake in the boat,

Moth Balls will also keep snakes and poison toads away as well as mice and rats.  I had poison toads in the garage until I put out moth balls.  No problems now, they hate the stuff.

Count me in as a moth balls and dryer sheet user....but I gotta say, if you actually had signs of rats in the boat, check all your electrical connections.  They love to chew that stuff!

Anyone ever wonder what these things do to people if the criters wont go near them?
