Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted November 25, 2010 Super User Posted November 25, 2010 Anybody out there know of a dumb alternative to these? I really don't feel like ordering just them and having to eat the shipping for them. I'm getting tired of tearing up my hands. Really wish TW carried them. Quote
Super User David P Posted November 25, 2010 Super User Posted November 25, 2010 I have a buddy that just ordered them, said they're great. I too haven't gotten around to ordering them for this very same reason! I keep meaning to pick some up when I go into San Francisco, but continue to forget. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted November 25, 2010 Author Super User Posted November 25, 2010 Well, if you do pick some up when you get there let me know. Quote
b.Lee Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Group Buy?, I live pretty close to the Tackle shop in SF which carries them. I can charge like 50 cents for shipping on top of the cost of the Finger Savers <--- LOL I can ask them if they can cut us a deal if we buy a certain amount. Now this would depend on how many people are interested again. Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted November 25, 2010 Super User Posted November 25, 2010 It looks like you could accomplish that with any fluid hose available at any auto parts store. Find a size where the inner diameter fits your finger and use a razor to cut it to length. It wouldn't be as pretty as the rings but it would get the job done. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted November 25, 2010 Super User Posted November 25, 2010 Never heard of them, but after looking at the advertizement and cost, my first thought was an ole saying "a fool and his money will soon part". Quote

They came out a while back. I'd have some already if a store local had them, or an online store that I buy regularly from stocked them. Heres a an older demo from Hi's Tackle Box. Watch the end of it. The Miller knot he shows is pretty good also. I've started to use it and really like it. Quote

OneUp Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I'd be in too, if you guys put something together... Quote
b.Lee Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I'll stop by and ask what he can do if we have a certain amount of buyers. I'll know something by Monday Quote

b.Lee Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Actually just got news today. He said it depends on how many people actually buy it. He said he would need more than 10 to give a price break of some sort. But that he needed to put an order in to do so. I think we need to ask permission first for a group buy before we post anything. Sounds reasonable, let me know when/where to send payment. Quote
