Super User Jigfishn10 Posted December 1, 2010 Super User Posted December 1, 2010 I have never used this lure, but it looks interesting. The lip on it says diving crankbait, but the line tie says tight wiggle. Just wondering if anyone has used this and what kind of action does it have? Diving? Tight wiggle? Any comments on it is much appreciated. http://www.lurenet.com/productdetail.aspx?id=5911 Quote
jdw174 Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 The Bayou Boogie has been around a long time. It may dive some and it does indeed have a tight wiggle since it's a type of lipless crankbait. I haven't seen one in years....didn't even know they were still around. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted December 1, 2010 Super User Posted December 1, 2010 It's almost like a trap. Stripers crush these things on a regular basis. Quote
Super User Raul Posted December 1, 2010 Super User Posted December 1, 2010 It shure is a "diving" crank, the kind of "dive" that sinks a rock, it 's lipless crank that has been around for ages, the design is very old and originally was called Pico Perch, other companies have manufactured it ( Heddon and Whopper Stopper ) in different sizes and as silent or rattling version. I 've fished with it for 3 deacedes and caught numerous fish with it, it has lost a lot of favor and seldomly used by newer anglers. It has a very nice tight wiggle. BTW, do yourself and the bait a favor, change the hooks, the stock hooks are junk imo. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted December 3, 2010 Author Super User Posted December 3, 2010 Thanks guys! I may have to take a ride to BPS and check this out. I'm sure I'll be broke by the time I get out of the store though. ;D Quote
