MarkM Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Looks like the TW discount is going land me a rod for froggin'. So, now I need some frogs. What has been your most successful colors especially fishing FL waters? I'm leaning toward either a Snag Proof or Spro Bronzeye 65. Quote
DTack Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Snag Proof bobby's perfect frog in Fred's Frog. Black or tweety are other good colors for me. Quote
Vinny Chase Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Both of these colors have a pearl bottom that perfectly matches a natural frog. Out of all the frogs I have ever used these Bully Wa frogs not only have the best color selection, but quality as well. Dont over think color selection when it comes to frogs. Remember that the only thing they are going to see is the bottom. Quote
Super User David P Posted November 24, 2010 Super User Posted November 24, 2010 Snag Proof Bobby's Perfect Frogs! I really like their new Sexy Shad color, but Freds Frog and Tweety are classics! Quote
Texasfishingtips Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 I use the Spro frog in the natural color pattern. It works really good here in TX and I have had friends use the same frog with same results. Clancy W Quote

SeanW Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 For years all I used was white or black, and depending on where Im fishing I may use them on occasion. Im mush more into natural colors now, and 90% of the time Im throwing brown or green. One reason for this is I believe the fish see to much of the white frog around here. I also dont believe the fish thinks its a frog, so its really just a top water bait. So as mentioned keep it simple. If I do use white I color up the bottom with black dots, and a tad of red on the throat. For the brown and the green I just throw em. Lastly Im not a big fan of the Snag Proof as most of mine tend to perfectly sink. > Quote
bass or bass ? Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Spro Bronze Eye in leopard color. Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted November 27, 2010 Super User Posted November 27, 2010 Spro Bronzeye Frogs are my confidence frog. But the colors are very basic. It's all about the bottom color. Light (Pearl or Yellow), Dark (Black or Green Pumpkin). All the artwork on the top is for catching fishermen. Quote
Super User Micro Posted November 27, 2010 Super User Posted November 27, 2010 For Deps Basiriskys or River2Sea Bully Was, black or chartruese. Any color in between is just to pretty up the frog box. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted December 2, 2010 Global Moderator Posted December 2, 2010 I've tried lots of different colors but black seems to be my best producer in cover or lowlight conditions and white is best in open water or brighter conditions. Quote
MNGeorge Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 White has been by far our best color...regardless of what brand frog. Quote
