Uncle Leo Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 We are at 16 degrees right now in Cleveland Ohio but later today we will get down to -11 degrees with wind chills at -35 degrees and up to 8 inches of additional snow. I believe it is winter. Quote

Tony L. Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Today's high in my part of Indiana will be -14; windchills in the minus 40's. I realize that some of you members from states even further north deal with this every year, but this is unheard of for us. I have never seen a complete shutdown of every government office accross the entire state because of the weather. Motorists in my county (and several others) are under the highest level of travel restriction. Non-emergency travel through the day is not only ill advised right now, but has officially been made unlawful. Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted January 6, 2014 Super User Posted January 6, 2014 I hate to rub it in, but it's a balmy 50 degrees and raining here in SE Mass. That foot or so of snow we got a few days ago is history. Yesterday, temps were in the high 40s. To tell the truth, I'm relishing rubbing it in. We don't get the opportunity that often, so I'm not letting it go to waste. Freeze baby, freeze. Quote
Uncle Leo Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Tom, I believe the weather is heading east, still time to relocate! Quote
aceman387 Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 It was so cold this morning when i woke up i had to push the house down the street to jump start the furnace. 1 Quote

Super User Darren. Posted January 6, 2014 Super User Posted January 6, 2014 Started the morning at 64º here on the Virginia Peninsula... Already down to 57º. Freezing... LOL. Just kidding. We're supposed to drop all day down to around 14º tonight not including wind chill, which is predicted to drop us into the -5 range. I thought I left this nonsense when I left the Rochester, NY area. Sigh..... Ah well, on the bright side, it'll only last for a couple days here. Quote
tholmes Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 It was minus 8 degrees here this morning with a wind chill of minus 17. Not a good morning to stick your tongue on the pump handle Tom Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted January 6, 2014 Super User Posted January 6, 2014 Tom, I believe the weather is heading east, still time to relocate! My next relocation will be for the speedweeks at Daytona Beach. Yes, the cold is coming in tomorrow or the day after, but it's not going to be the bitter cold we had a few days ago. The long range forcast shows a warming trend for the weekend with highs back in the 40s. Yet there is a warmth in my heart that the Packers lost When you pee ice cubes you know it's cold. Quote

At least til they take it off line in a little while. As of now I'm warm as hell. Its a balmy 96 where I'm working. Gotta love power houses. Quote
