Jon G Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Has anybody tried this line i have seen a lot of mixed reviews from it being real slinky and stiff to it be the strongest fluoro on the market. I was concidering getting 20lb for jigs. My main concern for this line was the stiffness but I dont think it should be that big of a problem if I use some KVD line and lure. Quote
Grantman83 Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 It has a huge diameter compared to other lines. It can only be an improvement over the original which was the worst fluoro I have ever used. That is including the vanish fluoro from berkley. It was springy to the point of un usable when pitching. Quote
hike4steel Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 It does have some memory. Will cause me to try a different brand on my next spool. Price is not too bad. Quote
quanjig Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I've used it. 20lb is a little on the unmanageable side even with KVD. I was happy dropping down to 17lb flipping jigs and was much happier! Have you looked at the Seaguar red label, I switched over to that after my experiment with the pro elite and like it a lot better! Couple more bucks but you can find it on sale from time to time. Super User ww2farmer Posted January 6, 2014 Super User Posted January 6, 2014 My tournament partner last year used it. He was constantly having issues, I talked him in to using Seaguar Red Lable, which is what I use for leader material, and his issues went away...........take from that what you will. 1 Quote
MacP Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I have some of their braid which is fine. I steered clear from their Fluoro due to the negative reviews. Quote
