FrogFreak Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 I started making top water lures this winter. It's been fun but I sure miss the summer. I just can't get into ice fishing. It's just too d**n cold around here. I think it got to 60 below the other day for god sake. Here's a pic of one of my early attempts at lure making. Quote

Super User Scott F Posted January 11, 2014 Super User Posted January 11, 2014 I'm very active in my smallmouth club and we are very busy during the winter. We have a big banquet for 200 of our members and guests the first weekend in March and there is a lot of work organizing everything. We have a booth at some of the outdoor shows to recruit new members. We also have our social get togethers during the winter. Sit around, eat some pizza, have an adult beverage or two and talk smallmouth. During the summer, everyone is fishing so no one comes then. I'm glad I don't fish in the winter. I'm too busy to make time to get out. Quote
