Super User *Hootie Posted January 5, 2014 Super User Posted January 5, 2014 Turns a little to easily to suit me. You think if I stretch the tension spring a little, it would feel a little more snug? Hootie Quote
Super User Raul Posted January 5, 2014 Super User Posted January 5, 2014 Why not better getting a new spring ? That is one of the reasons why I always loosen the tension knob cap and back off the drag after I use the reel before storing it. Quote

Don't see any reason to loosen the tension knob. Hootie Quote
SMB101 Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Just ccurious with the tension issue. Wondering what reel and if it may be tension spacer being worn. Quote

Smallmouth Hunter Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Try wiping a bit of the grease off the threads that the knob goes on. I would give the spring a stretch as well; it certainly won't hurt, but it probably won't add too much tension either. Quote
