JT Bagwell Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 For you tournament guys, do you have any non-endemic sponsors? If so, which one is the furthest from being related to the fishing industry? (i.e. chainsaw company, Chinese restaurant, etc.) And how did you get hooked up with them? No particular reason I am asking, just curious I guess. lol I was just out shoveling snow earlier and thought I should get a deal with a snow shoveling company because I am sure I could promote their brand up here. simplejoe Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 For me it's a local gas station. The nights before a tournament they fill my van and boat up for free. As I said in other posts, my kids race quads and the same deal goes with them. It adds up through out the year. That's about it though. You made me chuckle with the snow shovel idea. 1 Quote
JT Bagwell Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 Gas stations are a perfect fit for anglers. Quote
simplejoe Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Jt, just talk to a local gas station. I'm sure they will give you some kind of sponsorship. I have a tiny 2"x4" sticker on my boat with their name. That's it. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 6, 2014 Super User Posted January 6, 2014 I always thought Immodium AD would be a great sponsor. 1 Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted January 6, 2014 Super User Posted January 6, 2014 My wife. In fact she's my only sponsor, with out her "support"..........I would be fishing in the bath tub. 1 Quote

Fish'N Impossible Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I have a printing company as sponsor, Digital Sign Graphics,. Its a local small business and happened to connected to him through my main sponsor Meyer's Lodge. Went in talked to him he was all about supporting outdoor activities, and after talking identified many potential markets that could be impacted. After talking to him more and seeing the operation more in depth he showed me some Vehicle wraps he had dome for companies. And that's when we started talking about Boat wraps the difference in materials and application....and now he is working in an additional market, at a lower price point than most large competitors, and doing it very well. 1 Quote
CDMeyer Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 It is not set in stone but this Wednesday I meet with my school principle about a Bass Fishing club through the TBF, but if it goes through we plan to reach out to a Local gass station, and a local grocery store (excluding all the Fishing related business). 1 Quote
