Lewi Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I would like to send in my curado bantam I purchased about 10 years ago for some cleansing and am looking for someone local to bring it to before I send it to the Delaware boys. -Lewi Quote
Super User Jeff H Posted January 3, 2014 Super User Posted January 3, 2014 Is it a CU-200 greenie? I still have 5 of those myself and have been inside them plenty of times cleaning, upgraded bearings and drags etc. It's not hard at all, you could do it yourself. Quote
Lewi Posted January 3, 2014 Author Posted January 3, 2014 That's what it is. Great reel and I want to keep it that way! Suppose I could give it a whirl myself. Quote
Paulasaurus Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 I recommend giving it a go yourself, as long as you have the tools and keep track of the parts order it really isn't that difficult. I recently cracked open both my Curado 201e7 and Chronoarch 201e5 for a light cleaning/lube and it wasn't that bad at all. Not sure where you're located but i'd be more than happy to take a look at it. Looks like Jeff has some experience with your specific reel though. I watched this video a few times before opening up mine- Good luck Lewi Quote
