Super User Dwight Hottle Posted January 3, 2014 Super User Posted January 3, 2014 Anybody watching the Sugar bowl? Very interesting. Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted January 3, 2014 Super User Posted January 3, 2014 Huge OU fan and I'm absolutely loving this. Still nervous as heck but the TD just now to make it 38-24 makes me feel a tiny better for the time being! Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 3, 2014 Super User Posted January 3, 2014 Sooners have a long tradition of excellence. Congratulations to all their fans! That was one heck of a game. Quote
Super User QUAKEnSHAKE Posted January 3, 2014 Super User Posted January 3, 2014 OOOOOOOO UUUUUUUU YEAH!!!!!!!!! I dont have cable so stayed away from posts/sport site til I could watch the replay game on ESPN.com AWESOME game with an even better outcome finally. The game began in very bad but consistant fashion and had me nearly giving up right there but Im glad they pulled through. Quote
Super User Marty Posted January 4, 2014 Super User Posted January 4, 2014 Congratulations to OU. It's not that common for a 17-point underdog to win. Quote

Super User Sam Posted January 4, 2014 Super User Posted January 4, 2014 I must admit that I enjoyed every second. I got to yell, scream and cuss at all of the Bamasux fans shown on TV. I got to laugh and cuss at Nickie Satan and Kirby Stupid. I love it when the Bamasux fans go home sad. I still go bananas when I see the failed field goal attempt run back for a TD in the Iron bowl by Awbunn. Although I am an SEC fan it is still fun to see Bamasux go down. I think the Krystal in the French Quarter had the Bamasux Tea Bag Special after the game. Quote
BassnChris Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Turned out much better for Ok than I imagined. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 8, 2014 Super User Posted January 8, 2014 This is an example of why I like the Bowl format. The best teams in each conference are matched up for the finale. Then we can spend the rest of the year agruing over who should be ranked where. I think a lot of fans around the country are going to be VERY disappointed next year watching nothing but SEC teams in the finals. Bama v. OU, Georgia v. Nebraska, Michigan v. Stanford and Mizzou v. OSU are a lot more fun for me. There will always be a few teams in other conferences competing for the #1 ranking, but it's pretty obvious that the SEC represents the top tier in college football. In the bowl system Nebraska puts a whoopin' on Georgia and Oklahoma beats The Tide. Will those kind of match-ups happen in next year's play-offs? I don't think so. Quote
