Is it at all possible to get sponsored before you start your Tournament career? What I mean by that is I am 23 years old and in the process of trying to find a bass club in my area.  The area I live in has only one club within a 2 hour radius and it has a waiting list to join due to their restricted membership. I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Management plus a Minor in Small Business Management and Associates degree in Marketing. I am a nonboater getting ready to start on the tournament scene. I was just wondering if it was a waste of mine and the company's time if I were to try to solicit myself and to them before I start tournament fishing?

So what your saying is you did not read a single thread in here....

Sure its possible, But, Why do they need you? What do you offer them? Ever notice how well spoken and likeable the top guys are? They speak well of themselves, competitors, peers, and for the company. This is the same question asked atleast 15 times on this page alone. My answer is going to be No.

Honestly, if you can sell product or give leads and solicit sales, who cares if you can fish or not. Fishing tournaments gives you exposure to other fisherman. There's no reason you need to fish tournaments to talk with anglers or go to tackle shops and show product.
