Super User A-Jay Posted January 2, 2014 Super User Posted January 2, 2014 Made-for-TV fishing is on track to become made-for-local-clubs fishing as Tulsa-based Major League Fishing prepares to roll out its newest television series for 2014 as well as an Internet-based program designed to allow local clubs to use the same real-time scoring and live leaderboard system used by the MLF pros. Megastink Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 I had the idea of doing this for our local club. As long as we had the same scales, we could use a group text to update weights. This would be tons of fun! Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted January 2, 2014 Author Super User Posted January 2, 2014 I think this is only the beginning. I can see in the not too distant future State or even Nation wide tournaments / contests being held. The options and possibilities are broadening as the technologies improve and expand. A-Jay Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 2, 2014 Super User Posted January 2, 2014 On a small club level, with money on the line, I don't see anything other than live weigh ever being 100% replaced. 1 Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted January 2, 2014 Super User Posted January 2, 2014 I have a ton of league members who don't even use the internet or e-mail let alone a phone app for live scoring. Not to mention the cost of the same scale for each boat. My small club will be very slow to transition to this format. I personally would love it! 1 Quote
