I have the same shovels as you, JT, but I have two pushers.  My son also has a plow on the lawn tractor that he made himself out of scrap metal - great for the sidewalks. I also have an old, 30" Toro snow blower affectionately called "the female dog," -  you get the picture, lol. It has no safety devices, no brake, no shear pins, throttle cable long gone and held at full tilt with a bungee, - you basically just slam it in gear and you're off .  It is however, electric start and always starts, and throws snow a mile.  One of my favorite garbage finds.  Had it for at least 15 years, and who knows how old it actually is.

We got around 8" last night, and are due for another 18-24 through the weekend.  Driving is no sweat with the truck...typical ride to work up here:

Snow? What is this strange white stuff y'all refer too? Why you crazy yankees like that stuff so much. Ill stick with my delightful Alabama weather. I went fishing today. Probably go one day this weekend too. The bass are hitting down here. Least they were for me.

3 of my 4 kids don't know what it is, they watch rudolf and santa claus and have no clue what the white stuff around them is lol

Thank you.  I enjoy woodworking and carpentry work around the house.  Just so it's not enough to become tedious.

Just shoveled out my driveway this morning. Enough snow for a shovel, but not enough for a blower.

Jan. 1, 2014. I just bought my 2.nd 4 gal. can of gas for my snowblower. According to the National Weather Guessers, we have had 26" of snow so  far this year, however, I have about 30" in my yard. Last year I used just 4 gal. for the whole year. Ya, we have global warming, it just don't happin at my house. Weather for the next 10 days, The high+ 15, the low -18. Monday 1 /6 , high -10, low -18.Wind chill factor,-34. I'm going out tomorrow and buy a case of Knob Creek and a box of good cigars and spend the next week or so on my pukeputer talking to you guys and  watch Obamacare go down the poopchute.

No wonder the Packers are having a hard time selling all the tickets for their playoff game.

You clearly haven't been down here long enough. All you needed was the one for ice. Plus, all your neighbors will just stock up a couple weeks months worth of supplies and wait until it all melts.

Snow Belt - my home town.  That description covers it perfectly.

Hurricane is a nine letter word that starts with H and is one of the reasons I shovel snow.

I haven't boarded my windows or evacuated from here yet.

Lol y'all need to try the middle ground. We get a tornado warning every so often. Usually over in 30 mins. But other then downtown getting hit a few years back it has never cost us anything. Other then my sanity as all them stupid warnings scare the crap out of me. There handy about giving one on every storm lately. Stupid jet stream dipped down on us. Till then we had it made I guess.

Burr. It's supposed to be a low of 2 degrees Tuesday morning high in the low 20's. Might hit 0 which would be a firsts sense 1986.

Hehe...

The area around my last house had two "500-year floods" in a four year period, so you never know what the heck will happen around here.

Backyard bbq

It will be cleared off for tonight's dinner

When I first seen that pic I thought oh heck no. That would never do. Then I read what you posted. Still I think I'd move so I didn't have to shovel snow to BBQ. Lol.

I used to cook out three times or more a week.

Gotta get my new grill/ smoker/ pit built. Then il be getting fat again.

You guys crack me up.

Not much snow in our forecast for the weekend (just a little more Saturday) but I heard today that our HIGH temp for Monday will

be -10 (not including wind chill) and the low will be -18.

Only 4 more months until the water is soft again up here.  lol

Richmond, Virginia - Yes, we have a snow shovel.

It is somewhere in the shed.

I get it out when a big snow is in the forecast but don't use it.

The snow will melt sooner or later.

You sound like a good friend of mine.  His philosophy is, "The good Lord put it there, and the good Lord will take it away."

I haven't had to participate in snow removal of any kind for Two Whole Days !

What the heck is going on ?

I don't know what to do with myself (but I'm sure someone here will tell me . . . )

Not like you'd have time to shovel with all the time you spend changing your avatar :laugh5:
