I realize the motorguide isn't being sold until next month have any of you been able to test them out ? I know anglers help these companies with their prototypes. camovan Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Im looking at the same two but there are a couple things that are making me lean towards xi5. The footpedal looks better and it looks like it has spotlock on the pedal, that is a big deal imho. I use lawrance electronics already and being in VA lakemaster is non existent. That said, I would not drop that kind of cash for a tm on its first year. The xi5 is compelling enough though for me to put off my purchase for a year so i can let others be the Guinea pigs and maybe I will get a chance to use in person before making final choice. Quote

But one of the main lakes I fish in the winter is a powerplant lake and it is not on my Lakemaster map. If the lake doesn't have a map will the link do anything that the regular I pilot won't do? Another thing I've found is if you want to link 2 Humminbirds with a I pilot link you will need a 5 port and 2 Ethernet cables and that's going to cost at least $300!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
