Super User eyedabassman Posted January 2, 2014 Author Super User Posted January 2, 2014 Yes I agree on the cool setup. You can win money every hour. And there are some tanks in the Rock for sure.Last year a 7 lb.+ won the boat. Quote
Lasher Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I am hoping to fish a few of these this year. The Norman, Murray and Douglas tournaments are all close to my home. Anyone have experience in these events and is there anything special that I would need to know before trying? Quote
Super User buzzed bait Posted January 3, 2014 Super User Posted January 3, 2014 If i had a boat I'd fish the Norman and Clarks Hill one. They look very cool. I've watched some of the Tournament videos on YouTube and there seems to be somewhat of a tactic, but overall looks like a ton of fun for the person like myself who just doesn't really fish tournaments. Super User eyedabassman Posted January 3, 2014 Author Super User Posted January 3, 2014 Lasher, Just go on the web site and you can see all the rules ect. My buddy has fished them and you can get into the money with just alittle luck. At the time of the tournament you just have to watch the weights for the hour and see were your fish fits in! But once you take it out of the live well you have to bring it to the scales. Quote
BuckMaxx Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 I am going to the BASS tournament in April there.I can let ya know what I find out after that. I grew up on that lake and haven't been back in 12 years. I can tell you in htat time frame a silver black back zara spook would be tied on as well as a punlinseed looking jigor punkinseed chomper tube to be skipped under docks. The big girls will be hanging with the bream as they should be on the bed about then. Quote
