Hey guys. I have been shooting video from my Go Pro in 720. I can play it back on my Samsung tablet and I've been told it uploads better.

I took a bunch of video at the water park over christmas and made a short movie with it. Video quality looks fantastic in iMovie. I uploaded it to youtube in 720 but when I play it, it looks crappy. Looks like it was made from a flip phone.

Any suggestions?

Did you change the setting on you tube to display in 720hd? Also it can take a bit sometimes for the hd quality to finalize even after it fully uploads. Send us the link.

Yes sir, I changed the settings to play it in 720.

I gave it about a half hour after I uploaded it.

I have to upload the video again as I deleted it and am going to try uploading it again. As soon as I get it I'll post it here to see.

Thanks so far guys

Mine is the Black not the +

What I can't understand is the video inside iMovie looks perfect, but the video when uploaded doesn't?

Luckily you all have a video geek in your midst! Rockchalk I had the exact same problem with iMovie and my gopro. I have 2 suggestions and both will fix your problem. Firstly for this video what you should do is export the final product back onto your computer in the 720p format. Don't put it to youtube directly from iMovie. Then upload the video you exported to youtube using Youtube's uploader tool on their website. After you get this one figured out you might want to take a look at the gopro video editing software! It will keep you from having these issues later and is pretty user friendly! However the first fix should work every time if you wish to continue using iMovie! Hope this helps!

I'd have to agree its probably something to do with iMovie. I use the GoPro software with no issues. I'm unfamiliar with iMovie so I can't help any further. Let us know what you figure out.

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. I've got to leave town for most the day but will go that route as soon as I'm back.

The Go Pro software is a piece of cake to use.  I downloaded it and had my first video up on you tube in less than an hour. (using a template)  That was the first time I had ever made a video of any kind.

You guys wernt lying man! This is pie compared to iMovie. I am making a long video of our trip and so far its been easy as can be. i should have it done tomorrow.
